stephanie martin - new recording
Nothing Gold Can Stay, SATB, by Stephanie Martin, is the first in The Frost Sequence of three settings of words by Robert Frost. We are delighted to present a SSAA version of this very popular piece. Check the catalogue to have a look and listen to a beautiful video produced by Ensemble Laude Choral Society and their director Dr. Elizabeth MacIsaac. A wonderful addition to the repertoire of all treble choirs.
harris loewen - new releases
We are happy to announce a new piece, Voices Arising, which we believe will find favour with a range of choirs. This piece has two versions, SATB with piano and SAB with piano, both with a little divisi. It is an arrangement by Harris Loewen of a solo song by Ed VandenDool with thoughtful, uplifting text which will fit many themes and occasions. A second new piece is also by Harris Loewen. O Name of Beauty, SATB a cappella, is a fairly straightforward piece although some of Harris’ voice movement produces some attractive and interesting harmonic clashes.
ce soir
We are happy to announce the publication of Ce Soir SSAATTBB a cappella by New Brunswick composer Richard Gibson. Ce Soir (Opus 110) is a setting of the poem of the same name written by the Acadian poet, Raymond Guy LeBlanc (1945- 2021). The musical setting was commissioned by the Choeur Louisburg, director Monique Richards. The composer writes, "I am pleased to honour his memory... the appeal of the poetry lies... with the vibrancy of the visual imagery. I was gifted with an abundance of delightful opportunities to ‘paint’ the words of this masterpiece of nocturnal poetry."
